This was seen feeding on a fruiting fig tree. Along with the Great Hornbill there were also Assamese Macaques that were seen feeding on the figs. This is one of the commonest strangler figs in Namdapha Tiger Reserve and is an important food plant of hornbills. Its fruits are also consumed by gibbons, macaques, barbets, long-tailed sibias, hill mynas, bulbuls, Asian fairy blue-birds amongst other species.
