they were seen in ananda chandra college campus. a semi natural habitat beside river karala in a sub urban place....tey were on a trema orientalis tree(indian charcoal tree) leaning on a pond that remain full only in monsoons.... the ages of most of the trees at that part is approximate 10years......there was also a kadam tree full of fruits.....hornbills were seen to eat t.orientalis fruits.....as a flock of jungle babbler noticed me started their alerm call and the hornbills fly away...
